The Website

The old green leathery journal on my shelf caught my attention after a few years there, taking dust. Opening it is usally a very weird feeling, it’s an encounter with an earlier me, who saw the world a little bit differently. Sometimes it’s awkward, other times, it’s pure gold, left as a random gift for a time when I could use the words I wrote that day. What strikes me, no matter how long you go back, is the topics and the observations. Turns out I have been ranting about the same things over and over, like if writing them down would make me completely overcoem whatever had been bugging me. One of those topics for me, has been managing to focus, to narrow interests and activities for a certain amount of time, in order to do anything at all. It does sound obvious and I think it is quite obvious to see how multitasking many ideas and projects for a long period of time is exhausting and not rewarding. Nothing goes anywhere, and while the ideas keep maturing, they never get that chance to mature through exploration, experience, iteration and actual work. Work will show the weaknesses, the blind spots but also put the spotlight on the interesting things, lead a way to what captivates you and what is worth digging more. It all makes so much sense. ...

It is with an strange and inteserting feeling that I will share my first post on the website. I have been playing around with websites since I am 14 years old and it took me just under 10 years to decide on writing and publishing online. The idea spun from multiple needs and interests. They all collided into a boost of motivation and interest in having my own website. I planned on explaining the how and why and when and for who but now Im unsure too. I just know the website has been on my mind for a while now and I have the means to do so and I think I would benefit from it. ...
